A hot sabbath and Father's Day. Liz and Matt joined Ann, Liz Jo and I on the patio for a tasty catered "take out" meal from Farm to Fork in Holden. We spent one of the most relaxing afternoons I can remember eating, playing cards, and cooling off in the pool and Ann and I topped it off with a late afternoon visit with refreshments next door at Meg and Den's. Was a nice way to sort of end the Covid-19 "quarantine" time as I've got a summer full of lessons on my calendar starting at 9:00 tomorrow morning. Now it'll be the challenge of socially distancing and other virus precautions while conducting lessons.

Best trail camera photo of the week: These two does are probably last year's fawns. I'm not sure if they were cooling off, escaping a predator, or taking a short cut; but they've just emerged from the pond and are soaking wet. Male deer will usually leave their mother by the time she gives birth again and they are one year old. Females will often stay with or near their mother for two years.
